How to access the default Windows themes
First of all, every version of Windows has some themes installed by default. To check them out, we can right-click on the desktop and choose 'Personalize'.
By clicking on 'Themes', we can see on the right panel all the default Windows themes.
Important Note: The tab 'Themes' is available in Settings only on Creators Update, the latest version of Windows 10 as of this writing.
On earlier versions of Windows 10, as well as on Windows 8 and 7, you will have to access this option through the Control Panel.
As we can see, the default Windows theme list is somewhat restrictive. If you switch between those themes, the only changes you will notice is the wallpaper, the taskbar color, and the system sounds at best.
Of course, we can find more Windows themes on Microsoft's website, but their personalization options are pretty limited too.
Maybe we'll find a greater variety of skins once Windows Themes moves into Windows Store. Until then, the best Windows themes are third party skins, and we can find them in websites like DeviantArt.
We tried out almost every Windows 10 theme we found on DeviantArt, and we present you with the top 10, according to our personal tastes.
If you run a different version of Windows or none of the skins suits you, don't fret. In DeviantArt, you will find a huge list of Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7 skins since anyone can upload their creations. Plus, the majority of these themes are free.
To apply a third party theme on Windows, you will have to follow the instructions on the theme's description. Moreover, don't forget to check if the theme you chose can is compatible with your Windows version.
To check your Windows version, you can go to Settings > System > About.
Before you install any third-party theme, though, make sure to create a restore point or backup your entire system. If anything goes wrong, you can always reset and start fresh.
Seda
If you prefer a rather dark and mysterious user interface, then Seda is ideal.
Along with the skin, you can install this icon pack from the same creator.
Besides Seda, the developer of the theme is famous for his Ades theme as well. The two skins have a lot in common, and maybe that is why they share the same name - in reverse.
Discovery
When it comes to DeviantArt theme developers, neiio is probably one of the most popular and prolific. His skin collection is endless, and his creations are unique.
Discovery is one of them and has many custom changes to Windows Explorer.
The truth is, it was hard to choose the best between neiio's skins. Each and every one of them has a unique design. That's why you'll find many of his themes in our list.
WhiteNoir
The name says it all and WhiteNoir stands out for its simplicity and squared windows.
In fact, WhiteNoir is two skins in one, and we can switch between them from the Themes panel. Our favorite version is Noir, and its dark environment is ideal for all night owls out there.
Slave
Slave may not 'enslaved' us with its originality, but it certainly drew our attention.
This 'heavy' theme will give a professional - and maybe a little bit of Mac-like - look on your Windows environment.
Anagrama X
If you want more brightness and liveliness on your desktop, you can try Anagrama X.
Desktop Themes For Windows Xp
Anagrama X is yet another neiio creation, very pleasant to the eye and with a summer-based color palette. 6000cd rds eon wiring manual.
Void is on the same wavelength, although it has both a light and dark version.
Fetch
Fetch is probably the most popular neiio skin. When we installed it on our Windows 10 build, we realized why.
This theme has an original design, with pale shades of green and orange.
The wallpaper demonstrated on the picture above blends perfectly with the window colors, bearing a nostalgic feeling.
ATF
There is only one word to describe ATF and that's 'minimal'.
Best Anime Themes For Windows Xp Professional
You won't find any unnecessary detail on this theme. Blank icons, blank headers, and a retro style that is 'a blast from the past', according to the creator.
Adapta
This theme is pretty new and fresh.
It is a great alternative for a dark themed environment for those that don't like the 'all black' style of Noir.
Oxford
Oxford made it on the list because it differs from most third-party Windows Themes.

Kaamix
Last on our list is Kaamix, a Cleodesktop skin.
Although Cleodesktop has a wide variety of beautiful Windows themes, they are not completely free.
If you want to have complete access to a skin's features, such as icons, color changes, and so on, you have to buy it.
That said, each skin has a free version with basic theme customizations, and thus we included one of them in our list.
Kaamix could easily be called '50 shades of gray' if it weren't for its golden icons.
As we already mentioned though, we can't download the icons for free. You will have to keep Windows' default icons or install a different free icon pack from third party sources.
